Newly Purchased

I went shopping at the mall last week and had a terrible day...went to many stores, but found absolutely nothing. Then, I was running errands with Mom and went into Target to grab some groceries...and found great clothes!

I'm absolutely in love with this top. You'll probably be seeing it again. Soon. (I can't believe it was just $20!)
I've been searching for faux-leather leggings for three or four months now and hadn't found any that I was satisfied with...leave it to Target to have the perfect pair for just $20.

And then I found this adorable dress. It makes me feel like Taylor Swift when I wear it! I can't wait to wear it in the spring with my Madewell booties and new J. Crew jean vest. Perfection.
Confession time: I liked it so much...I got it in the daisy print too. Oops?

I hope everyone's having a great week so far! It's hard getting used to waking up earlier after being home for Christmas! How're your New Years Resolutions going? I still haven't figured mine out yet...

All pictures are from Target's website.

Early January Outfits

January 1st Outfit
I wore this outfit for my favorite New Years tradition: high tea at a local hotel!

January 2nd Outfit
I wore this outfit for running errands...like getting a shot! Ugh. Taking advantage of being able to get by without tights before the single digits temperatures set in.

Books I Read in 2013

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
Emma by Jane Austen (reread)
The Style Strategy by Nina Garcia
Victoria Rebels by Carolyn Meyer
The Heiresses by Allison Rushby
The Truth About Style by Stacy London
The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell
I Feel Bad About My Neck by Nora Ephron
Austenland by Shannon Hale
Summer at Tiffany's by Marjorie Hart
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle

I didn't get to read as much as I used to this year due to a stressful end of senior year (5 AP classes, a leading role in my school play, graduation to deal with, a solo in my dance recital), a chaotic summer of two weeks in London plus a wedding plus a beach trip with friends plus prepping for moving in at university, and my first semester of university. However, I ventured into the realm of fashion books and memoirs, read Anna Karenina (no small feat especially considering I read it in under two weeks), and discovered why people love "chick lit." Overall, not a bad year for reading, but I'm hoping to improve and read more in 2014.
